Energetic Cords
People can energetically cord into other people’s energy systems. It is common for young children to be corded to their mother for example, and this cord should be left while the children are young, as they need to feel secure. However, when adults are corded to each other this can be energetically draining, especially for the recipient. The person sending the cords are often doing so unknowingly, but they are using another person’s energy, and potentially limiting that person in various ways. A classic example of cording is when a couple separate, and one person cords into another, trying to keep the bond alive. Ultimately, this isn’t healthy for either person.
Cords are a form of psychic attack, although they may come from someone feeling ‘needy’ rather than from a desire to attack. Once cords are attached to a person’s chakras, their energy system is being drained. As well as having less vitality, it can be harder for them to live freely as a full expression of themselves. They are energetically more limited, which can also manifest in their physical reality, as our physical reality is a mirror of what’s going on with us energetically.
Cords from Soul Family
As well as cords from other people we are incarnate with, energetic cords can also come from other aspects of ourselves incarnate in other lifetimes. This is harder to get our heads around, but our soul is living out more than one reality at a time, and another expression of our soul can cord into the incarnate being we are now. Cording from other aspects of ourselves in other lifetimes can be very limiting, as these cords are generally created at times of stress or trauma. This energy is the at the core of the cording.
Soul family can also cord into us. As we change and evolve in this lifetime as humans, members of our soul family might not be keeping up with us, and are still expecting us to learn through suffering or difficult experience. So they might be corded into us energetically, with the intention of observing our life path, and also limiting our free will and vitality, by holding us to an old energy which created a lower vibrational previous experiences.
Clearing Cords and Psychic Protection
Energetic cords need releasing, it is possible to do this yourself, by asking beings such as Archangel Michael to cut the cord completely, using his sword of electric blue fire. This should be done with intention, and in a quiet space, visualising the work while it takes place. You can also call in the etheric surgeons, who will cut and release cords when asked to do so. It is worth making sure you have a healing team assigned to you also, and if not you can ask.
